Shetland Sheepdog Description

A fairly small and lightly built breed of dog, with a long, wedge shaped head and small erect ears. They have a beautiful feathered tail and a long coat with a mane and frill around their neck. Colours include sable and white, black and white or blue merle.

The appearance of the Shetland Sheepdog portrays the breed as an exceptionally fragile little dog, it is actually the complete opposite. They are very sturdy, hardy dogs and really quite tough. They are gentle with children and adore other animals, they train easily and enjoy pleasing their owner/s.
