American Staffordshire Terrier Description

The American Staffordshire Terrier is a strong and muscular breed of dog they have an athletic build. They have a broad and very powerful head. The ears are high set and generally half-erect or semi-pricked. Their coats are short and glossy and colours range widely but can include brindle, blacks, browns, tans and whites.

American Staffordshire Terrier Character

This is a very strong breed of dog although they may not be the biggest of dogs they are stocky and muscular. The American Staffordshire Terrier is an outgoing, happy and brave dog and will defend and protect its owner and family. They are good with children and enjoy a long, daily walk. They can be challenging to train as although they love to please they are stubborn and strong willed so they require a firm but kind hand during training. Must be socialised with other dogs and children from an early age.
