Welsh Sheepdog Description

The Welsh Sheepdog is a medium sized breed of dog with an athletic build and from the same family as the Border Collie. They generally have high set, pricked ears which are folded at the tip and their tails are beautifully plumed. Coats can vary from short to medium length and can come in a variety of colours including red and white, sable and white, tri-coloured, merles and black and white.

Welsh Sheepdog Character

This is essentially a herding dog and an extremely active breed they require a lot of exercise and then some more! They love to be kept busy and can become easily bored if not kept entertained, are best brought up with children and other animals as their active natures can make them boisterous and very lively. The Welsh Sheepdog is a friendly breed but does not always take kindly to strangers. The main point to stress with this particular breed is their exercise requirement.
