Lancashire Heeler Description

A low set, short legged breed with an elongated body and very large, wide set ears. They have a high set tail and a fox-like face. The coat is shiny and sleek, with a mane. They are black and tan in colour.

Lancashire Heeler Character

The Lancashire Heeler is a cracking little dog with a beautiful 'foxy' appearance. They are a friendly breed but cannot tolerate younger children very well and they need very careful introductions to other animals. They enjoy doing their own thing and when it comes to training this can prove to be problematic ! Some can be nervous.
