Lakeland Terrier Description

The Lakeland Terrier is a wire-coated medium sized breed of dog with a distinctively elongated head shape and adorably bushy facial hair. The dog’s ears are small and fold forwards and they have a highly set tail. Their coat is double with the outer layer being wiry and the inner layer being soft. Coat colours vary and include wheaten, dark grey, tan, black or shades of red.

Lakeland Terrier Character

Lively and forever cheerful the Lakeland Terrier is always alert and affectionate, they adore children and being part of a family environment. Training can prove challenging as although they are an intelligent breed they are always looking to move on quickly to the next task! They like to be on the go and require both physical and mental stimulation to keep them satisfied and to keep your sanity intact! Lakeland Terriers seem to be fearless and due to their typical terrier traits and high chasing instinct they need to be introduced to other household pets correctly.
