Japanese Chin Description

The Japanese Chin can also be referred to as the Japanese Spaniel; they are delicate little dogs with a broad face and very large eyes which are wide-set. The muzzle is upturned and short, the ears are small and pendant styled but their crowning glory is definitely their beautiful plumed tail which curls over the dog’s back. The coat is generously feathered and can be seen in white with black, red, lemon, sable and brindle.

Japanese Chin Character

The Japanese Chin is an affectionate little bundle of fluff, they have extremely playful natures and will happily play for hours, if you can keep them still long enough they are easy to train as they are an intelligent breed. They love to please and are very loyal dogs however they do tend to be reserved around strangers. Japanese Chins are sensitive, dainty little souls which thrive on affection and attention. Their country of origin is noted as Japan although it is thought that an earlier form of the breed originated in Korea.
