Italian Greyhound Description

A very slender and elegant small Greyhound with a tapering muzzle. They have a smooth and very glossy coat which is short and seen in grey, fawn, cream and black or blue sometimes with white markings on the chest and paws. They have small ears which fold back against the dog’s head. The tail is long and thin and carried low in typical Greyhound fashion generally between the hindlegs.

Italian Greyhound Character

The Italian Greyhound is a real ‘snuggle’ dog, they adore being cuddled. They are super friendly to all even strangers but are sometimes slightly wary of young children due to the noise, they do best in a quiet household due to their fragile natures. However it is too easy to pamper them and very often an adult Italian Greyhound is not as fragile as you would first think! They can be stubborn and highly strung with a sensitive nature so training can be a challenge. This breed loves to run and for a small breed they are especially active and energetic.
