Havanese Description

The Havenese is an especially pretty little dog to look at with its beautiful, flowing coat. The legs are surprisingly strong for a smaller breed of dog, the eyes are generally a rich, dark brown and small, the tail is long. The Havanese is neither a fragile or delicate little dog although it certainly looks as though it should be; they are the rather rugged ‘tomboys’ of the canine world. Their ears are pendant and usually in a half pricked position so not always flat against the dog’s head. The coat colour can vary immensely including solid white, beige or cream and combination colours of black and white, beige and white or grey and white.

Havanese Character

There is nothing quite like the sight of the Havenese in full flight with their fur flowing, ears flapping and tails cascading over their backs. This little dog is fun with a capital ‘F’ they adore children and being part of a family environment, they are extremely affectionate and very playful. They are also intelligent but sensitive and do not take kindly to raised voices. The Havenese is courageous for its size and rarely displays any shyness, even with strangers; a happy and friendly dog which is full of character.
