Glen of Imaal Terrier Character

The Glen of Imaal Terrier is a very spirited and devoted breed of dog. This dog was originally bred as a hunter and a very tenacious one it was, they were trained to hunt silently. As with all terriers caution must be taken around small animals as their prey drive is strong. They are very gentle and mellow dogs with people and they have rather sensitive natures. They possess a stubborn streak but do like to please their owner. They might be a smallish dog but they are like ‘pocket-rockets’ and do require a lot of exercise.
