Doberman Pinscher Description

The Doberman Pinscher is a beautifully lean and elegant looking dog, they have a square shaped body and are exceptionally muscular. The ears are naturally floppy. Their coat is very short and is usually black with tan markings but can also be blue-grey with tan markings.

Doberman Pinscher Character

Doberman Pinschers make excellent watchdogs as they are very protective of their family and of their surroundings. They need to be trained at an early age as they do tend to dominate and need to understand their position within their 'pack.' They are prone to acting the complete fool around those people that they know well. Training does take time with these dogs though and if you do not have the time to dedicate to this breed I would strongly urge you not to select them to join your family.
