Bolognese Description

The Bolognese is a small Bichon Frise type dog, compact and boasting a beautiful snowy white, fluffy coat. Their ears are pendant styled and high set on the dog’s head. The tail is as fluffy as their coat and carried over the dog’s back. The Bolognese’s colour is pure white, a solid coat colour no patches or differing shades of white.

Bolognese Character

The Bolognese is thought of as the ‘serious’ Bichon Frise type dog, generally not as energetic as other dogs of similar breed and usually quite docile and placid. They love the company of people and normally form close bonds with their family members, they are playful and enjoy the company of children and other animals. Intelligent and fairly easy to train as they like to please, they trust even strangers so are no good as a watchdog!
